Chandra_Photo-Meeting

Dr Chandra from Roswell Park Cancer Institute of New York  will give a talk about Sirtuins and Medicine for Tomorrow: The Promising Target during the 2nd World Congress on Targeting Mitochondria, in October 20-21 in Berlin.

Dr Dhyan Chandra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, New York. He received his postdoctoral training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of mitochondria--dependent apoptosis in cancer cells. He also has particular interests in: resveratrol--induced apoptotic cell death, OXPHOS defects and mitochondria dysfucntion, and apoptosis signaling in cancer stem cells. He has been the recipient of multiple awards, including Howard Temin Award (K01 award from National Institutes of Heath), Postdoctoral Fellowship Award, and Travel Awards.
