Eric Gnaiger, chaiman of Mitochondrial Physiology Society will talk about Capacity of oxidative phosphorylation in human skeletal muscle during Targeting Mitochondria World Congress

E._Gnaiger

Erich Gnaiger has scientific and technical expertise in the fields of mitochondrial physiology and pathology, and biological thermodynamics, contributing fundamentally to the understanding of mitochondrial respiratory control, and development and application of high-resolution respirometry to cellular bioenergetics and functional mitochondrial diagnosis. He is initiator and chairman of the International Mitochondrial Physiology Society (MiP; www.mitophysiology.org), and has organized numerous conferences, workshops, and training courses on mitochondrial physiology, bioenergetics and biological thermodynamics. Erich Gnaiger is the founder of the OROBOROS INSTRUMENTS Corp. (www.oroboros.at) with world-wide technological leadership in high-resolution respirometry. He is coordinator of the K-Regio Centre of Excellence ‘Mitochondrial Competence’ – MitoCom Tyrol.

During the 2nd World Congress on Targeting Mitochondria, he will give an oral presentation about Capacity of oxidative phosphorylation in human skeletal muscle: new perspectives of mitochondrial physiology.
